So this may be an obnoxiously long post but there are just so many pictures to show off. And to warn you these are just the ones my sister and her husband took. My next post may have identical looking pictures that I took through out this week.
I was pretty excited to have part of the Kay clan come up to Oregon, some for a week, some for close to a full week! We did a lot of fun stuff, the annual Central Oregon Bulldogging Shootout ( and event Alex and I along with some friends put on), the Sisters Rodeo, Crater Lake roadtrip, and some good old fun at the motel swimming pool and at my house! I won't remark on every photo so that you can just scroll through and check out what we did.....
The pictures may be a little off on the days we did the activity. But, by Wednesday everyone had arrived to my house. Mom and Dad, Tessa Chad and Tyke, and Stephanie Seth Brooke Callie and Bowdee man. On Thursday we headed SouthWest to Crater Lake for a day trip! WOW it is so beautiful there!
We stopped just inside the park to stretch out legs.
Crater Lake! This place is so spectacular! Pictures of it are gorgeous, but even they don't do the actual view justice!
Steph's fam!
Me and my girls! I tried talking Alex into going with us, but since we had spent lots of time preparing for the Shootout he had a work load stack up on him and felt like he needed to get some of it taken care of. We sure missed him tho.
Tessa and her fam!
My Dad and Brooke! We only stopped at one official look out. They had some spots fenced off so you couldn't fall but there were a lot of edges that were almost straight drop offs! Freaked me out with the kids running around.
My Dad and Bugaboos!
Miss Brooke and Miss Callie Jo! I think Steph(their mom) was totally freaked out that they were standing on the wall to get a picture, the girls weren't too thrilled about it either! =)
My parents!
We rode on up to the visitors center and had a tailgate picnic.
The view from the visitors center area!
Seth and some of his young'ens.
Tessa and Tykeroo.
We got back to Bend at a decent hour so these guys hit the pool at the motel!
Then they headed back to my place. Tykeroo got to go back on the ranch and meet some of the new babies out there.
Handsome little nephew I have there!
....and as I said above handsome little nephew I have there!
The next morning we went back to the pool for some swimming. I was dead set on getting Bugaboos in the pool. I don't want her to be scared of water and have a lack of swimming knowledge like I do....So I even strapped on a bathing suit and jumped in......of course with a 2 month old I was a scary sight and kept as many layers on as I could! =)
I have to note, my sisters look gorgeous as ever...wading around, not getting their hair wet. But, ME I was teaching Bugaboos to dunk her head under the water. So...yea...drowned rat is what I looked like! =)
A bunch of the crew!
I was trying to get Bugaboos to float on her back but she was not letting go of me to relax. I don't think she was terrified of the water but yet she kept a tight grip on me most of the time.
That night Alex competed in the Sisters Rodeo so we got cleaned up and headed over to watch him.
Again I feel like I need to defend myself....bad angle for a picture of someone who just had a baby 2 months prior. Thanks for the lovely shot TESSA! ;)
This picture is out of place, it was taken the Wed. we had our Shootout. But, I don't know when we'll get a real family photo...so there we are! My beautiful little family, I am one lucky gal!
We spent a couple nights in my side yard enjoying pizza and or smores! It was so fun and relaxing.
To end it off, Bugaboos stole the last cookie! By the time Alex showed up he eyeballed that bag and dug his hands in it only to come out empty! gtm....of course Bugs would beat him to the junk food! =)
