Life lately.....

About a week ago we gathered up lots, and I mean LOTS, of help and branded our new calves.
We don't have a huge herd yet, but it's growing and we couldn't be more proud of it.  It helps tremendously to have my mother in law and her crew out there to help bring the cattle in and cut the momma cows out of the herd.
Our friend Casey M. came out to help and brought his son Tucson.  Of course Bugs and Tuc love playing together so they were a handful on their own. Between them and Gingaroos I didn't get my hands too dirty with the cattle(nice excuse I know lol).
These two are goof balls. At this stage in their lives they play pretty well together, they usually have to be doing the exact same thing as one another, it is fun to watch.
Miss Gingaroos slept through most of the fun....
Our little Bugaboos loves dirt wayyy to much! =)  She was throwing handfuls of it a Tuc, let's just say he isn't as big on dirt as she is!
Isn't our Bugaboos adorable! I just love this lil stinker!
During their playtime they found the most perfect spot to hang out.  You better believe that I rushed over to actually lock them in.
The crew getting dirty! =)  I smiled at the scene out there...back home, in Utah, when it's time to move or brand cattle for Grandpa Wally, most of the Kay family shows up.  There is usually between 1-3 people for each cow!  It is so much fun.  As you can see here on Robertson Ranch we had plenty of help!  We can't thank everyone enough!
 Getting our brand on...

Miss Gingaroos finally decided to join the party.  She wasn't really a happy camper tho.

After branding we loaded up to do some hay hauling.  Alex bought up an entire field (about 10 ton)  and it looked like, and was forecasting, for it to rain.  So we had to book it in the hauling department.
Bugs was so tuckered out from playing during branding time, she fell asleep eating her afternoon snack.
I hate to say it, but when hauling hay the girls sometimes get stuck locked up in their car seats.  Bugaboos is just too much of an explorer and I spend too much time chasing her rather than helping move hay.  But, she has found a new obsession with Alex's cowboy hat....she can play with it for quite awhile and stay entertained.
Once I finally let her out of the car, when we were back to our ranch, she insisted on taking the hat with her.  She disappeared for a minute and this is what I found her doing.....she is a little hard worker...when she wants to be. =)
 Miss Gingaroos...sleeping again!
We had a little less than half of the field left to pick up(we were picking it up bale by bale out of the field) and it was getting kind of late, and still looking like it might rain. So we did 1 last OVERLOADED load of hay.  It's a good thing Ol' Gold Buckle is a Dodge! ;)

ON to a different day.  This little twirp we call Bugaboos has a movie addiction.  I hate to admit it but I let her watch more movies then I should.  Sometime, with my lack of sleep, it's just too easy of entertainment.  Anyway, lately she has been pretty stuck on watching the old fashioned Christmas cartoons(Frosty, Rudolph, etc.)  I keep telling her we can't watch Christmas movies right now....
After having a break down from getting told no, she konked out in the hall in her little stink bug position....man she was OUT!  It was too stinking cute!
This was the picture I took of Miss El on June 18th....her 3 month old shot!  I swear time goes by way to dang fast, but knowing there wont be another baby for Alex and I I think is making El grow up even faster.  We love this little Gingaroos to death!  She is such a completion to our family. At 3 months she is starting to sleep through the night, sometimes waking up at 5am, but sometimes going till 8 am.  She has finally found her giggle, although sometimes it still sounds forced.  She plays with the toys on her playmat like crazy, mostly just eating and slobbering on them.  And, I am starting to see signs that she may be getting close to rolling over.  She rolls to her side but hasn't quite figured out how to go farther. This makes me so sad, I don't want my girls to grow up so fast!  I have learned really quick that the house and yard work HAVE to wait sometimes because before I know it these two beauties of Alex and mine aren't going to be babies anymore.... =(
Anytime I get the camera out Miss Soph gets eager for a picture of herself...so here she is on Miss El's 3 month Birthday!  She is such a great Big Sis....I smile watching the girls together.  I fear that Miss El is taking in every naughty thing Soph does.  El will watch Soph and usually smiles her little heart out when Soph is getting into trouble....Alex and I do and will have our hands full for a LONG time with these two munchkins!
I finally broke out the walker for Miss Gingaroos(yes I know I go back and forth on what I call my girls, but I think you all know who I am talking about =))  She is still a little wobbly so I have to tuck blankets around her to help keep her sitting straight up.  She just loves it and thinks she is so big.  The walker has also been a big hit with Bugaboos, she spends a lot of time in it now walking around....goofy little thing! =)
We finally ditched the car seat tent and brought on the toys....I'm not sure how entertained they keep Miss El but I have seen her grabbing at them a time or two.
We, sometimes, go with Alex to our leased hay field when he has to change irrigation.  However, the field is getting close to it's 1st cut time and so it's a little to tall for Bugaboos to walk in and for me to shove a stroller across, so we just chill in the car.  Not a bad deal for Bugs when she is released from her car seat....there are MANY buttons and knobs for her to get in to trouble for touching! =)....
 And sunglasses, pens, cds, etc.....
I even let this one out of her car seat when she finally comes alive.

Well that's it for us Robertsons......"Kettle", hay hauling, irrigation moving....so much fun here on the ranch! =)
