Bright and early Monday, March 18, 2013....we showed up at the hospital at 5:30 am for paper work and to get prepped for my c-section.
At 8:08 am our little Ellie Jo made it in to this world. I swear the sweetest thing in the World is to hear that first cry of your baby! I cried as soon as I heard her!
She was perfect in every way! Weighing in at 7 pounds 14 ounces, she was 20 3/4 inches long and absolutely beautiful! I have to add in that we, at this point, have a little red head! =)
Look who made it to the show! GTM Alex was wonderful the entire process! I think he was a little nervous but in the end was glad he was there for our 2nd little rugrat's arrival, and I know I was very glad he was there too! =)
Meeting Aunt Mary! Mary actually showed up at the hospital at 5:30 am with us, I was hoping to have her in for the c-section, but in the end they only allowed me to have 1 person, and Alex wasn't getting let off the hook! =)
Meeting Grandma Cheryl! My Mom and Dad came up the Saturday before and stayed for an entire week!
Here is little Ellie Jo saying hi to her big sister Sophie Anne! Sophie wasn't too sure about what was going on at first.
But, she eventually lightened up and I think figured out we had our little baby here. She has been so cute the last week, she doesn't bother Ellie Jo, but every once in a while will point and say Baby, or go rub Ellie Jo's head or give her a kiss! She is a great big sister already! I love my girls more than anything!
Our first family picture! =)
Now just some random pictures....
Meeting cousin Charlie and Max....Max was feeling a little off so he kept his distance from Ellie Jo.
Bugaboos wasn't too sure about me at the hospital! I had, once again, side effects of one of the drugs I was given for the c-section. It made me itchy all over, and so I was very red and almost raw from rubbing and scratching....yeah I didn't look too good. Plus I spent the first day throwing up...well nothing since I hadn't eaten since midnight the night before. So Monday was a pretty scary day for me, and Bugs didn't want much to do with me! =) I cried a little but she eventually came around! =)
Ellie Jo's first bath...of course she cried like most babies do!
Her first outfit from home. These little pajamas are so cute, they have a strawberry on the bum, they were one of many outfits that my Mom spoiled her with!
Bugaboos explored a lot at the hospital. She especially loved getting in the cabinets!
Our sweet little Ellie Jo and I got to go home Wednesday, we even got released at a decent time and were actually home by 10:30/11am. This was Ellie Jo's going home outfit that her Grandma Fran bought her! So adorable!
Going HOME! =) Alex bought Ellie Jo a little bear....so Sophie Anne has her Vegas Bear and Ellie Jo has her, not named yet, bear! =) He is such an amazing Daddy!
Bugs and Ellie Jo first seeing each other at home!
Ellie Jo's first bath at home!
Our first outing! We went to run a few errands with Grandpa Terry and Grandma Cheryl! I think taking this picture is when it really hit me that...WOA I HAVE TWO DAUGHTERS! So crazy to think about still!
The first couple of days we tried to just relax...I think Bugs did a great job of it! haha
My girls and my Mom and Dad!
Fast forward to today 3/27. Yesterday Bugaboos and I set up the play mat for Ellie Jo! Bugs thought it was awesome, and she has her play time with it too!
Ellie Jo chilling on her play mat!
We worked on some tummy time....she did okay with it, but definitely got her screaming in too!
My oldest beauty! This kid loves getting her picture taken.....and taking pictures! =) This shot was almost a self shot because she was trying to steal the camera from me as I snapped the picture!
My girls chilling together!
And last, Ellie Jo's little hat fell over her eyes as she was sleeping, isn't that soooo cute! =)
