Will Somebody Feed This Kid!

This kid has an obsession with BUTTER!  And to make matters worse...apparently I am either
A. NOT feeding her enough OR B. Not great at timing meals!

Either way, she enjoyed building her own 2lb of butter sandwich! =)

Ellie Jo's 12 Month Check Up!

This big girl of ours started her Dr. visit off in a very happy mood.
 Things were just dandy.
I had to share this picture.....I think she looks like her cousin Tyke in it. =)
Then things got bad for our little Roos.  She got 3 vaccination shots: Chicken Pox, MMR, and Hep A.

She was not a happy girl afterwards! =(

As you can see she had quite the breakdown.  I think matters were worse since I chose to giggle and snap pictures instead of snuggling with her.  But, seriously, look at that adorable upset face!  She is way too cute!
She did settle down, eventually.  This may have been the worst round of vaccinations for us.  I think our little Roos is fighting teething, a cold or allergies, then not so fun reactions from her shots.  We have had a rough past couple of days.  But, this girl is a trooper and although hasn't felt well has kept her fiery little attitude up! =)

Ellie Jo's 12 Month Stats:
Weight: 21pounds 70%
Height: 30 1/4 inches 80%
Head: 18 1/4 inches 80%

Growing like a weed! =)

Elli Jo Turns 1!!!....almost....

We had Ellie Jo's birthday party 3 days early so her Grandpa Terry and Grandma Cheryl could come up from Utah and join in on the celebration.  It was a really fun weekend and went by way too fast!
I, for whatever reason, prefer cupcakes to a cake...so here is Ellie's Birthday Cupcakes!
Ellie Jo with her Grandma Fran.

Alex grilling us up some burgers.
Miss Roos with her Birthday Cupcakes...she is too stinking cute!
 Dinner spread.....well some of it.
 Birthday Party Dinner.

Her stash of gifts.  She was spoiled by her Utah Aunties too.  *Some of the gifts from Alex and I and Grandma Cheryl and Grandpa Terry are for both of the girls....they must learn to share! =)

Ellie had little interest in opening gifts...but Bugaboos was happy to help with most of the gifts.

 Cupcake time!

The weekend came and went way too fast.  I always have a hard time saying bye to my parents.  I am so thankful to them for making the long drive up to see us so often.  The girls were in heaven getting spoiled all weekend.

It was such a great day that we spent a little time outside with my parents before they hit the road back to Utah.
It was a great weekend......bittersweet celebrating my baby girl's 1st Birthday!  =)
