Just a SWIIIIINGING!

Alex and Aunt Mary set up Bugaboos' swing for her yesterday.  At first she would get a terrified face and start crying.  She eventually warmed up to the idea of swinging.  Today, on the other hand, she LOVES it!

We also are having another play date with her Oregon BFF Mr. Tucson!

Riddle me this........

Riddle me this.....what do you get when you put together..... ONE BUGABOOS.....
 ....ONE LITTLE TINY BUCKET......
.......and last but certainly not least....ONE TOILET WITH THE TOILET SEAT LEFT OPEN????
.............
.............
.............
.............
.............
.............
If your answer is...ONE BUGABOOS USING ONE LITTLE TINY BUCKET TO DRINK TOILET WATER OUT OF ONE TOILET WITH THE TOILET SEAT LEFT OPEN THEN YOU ARE CORRECT!!!!

Finally!!

Finally!!!  After almost 1 full year, Alex has officially got rid of his old/new truck, and got a new/old truck!  I know he is excited, but in the end I think I was more excited.....may be that I am happy to not have to hear him whine about not having his own truck anymore! GTM  The above picture is when they were finishing up the sale.

And...there she be....Alex in the driver's seat of his new/old truck!  This truck is in incredible shape for his age.  I must say it is growing on me A LOT!  I have high hopes for it too, after watching Daddy's truck keep going....and going....and going....and goiiiiinnnnnng! =)
One person didn't seem so excited this morning.  I don't think she was happy about being taking our of her crib where she was getting some good beauty rest...drug through a down pour of rain and cold to the car....then repeating that to get her back in the house!  But what a cutie all the same!  She is currently snuggled up on the couch watching the news while I blog!  hahaha

Upgrading!

We'll start by the pictures of the "upgraded" Bugaboos.  She has to feed herself now or she doesn't eat!  haha Just kidding!  She was trying so hard to use her spoon all by herself today!
At times she must have thought "screw it using my fingers is sooo much easier"!
But, not giving up she'd go back to using her spoon, or trying to! =)  This wasn't a complete failure at her feeding herself with a spoon, but we still have some coordination skills to work on before she can be turned loose and do it all by herself!
On to other upgrades....we replaced our old leaking, broke kitchen faucet!  Don't you love this new one...it even was on clearance at Home Depot, so we only spent $58 on it...BARGAIN!
We also replaced the cabinet hardware.  You can see the old style on the above drawer and our new handles on the cabinet doors below!  The look definitely needed to be updated, but more so we were missing a drawer handle and I couldn't find a replacement ANYWHERE!  But, WOW, cabinet handles are NOT cheap!
And last but certainly not least, we finally replaced all of our old, nasty, gold looking, light fixtures.  Okay they weren't all so bad, but some, like in my closet, must have been 50 years old!  We are trying to slowly upgrade all fixtures and hardware to a more bronzed look....I actually think we are getting close to done....the bathroom cabinet handles and the door knobs may be all that is left! =)

I have to back track one more time and just say, cause I am so excited, that I LOVE my new kitchen faucet...LOVE.....LOVE.....LOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEE it!!

The Interrogation!

We have a serious, serious, SERIOUS problem at our house!  Things keep "disappearing", among many things these are the most recent: a half full bottle of baby lotion, a white sock, and the little cushion that goes on the car seat strap to protect the neck.  Some other things that have disappeared have found their way back to their rightful home...but these things I am currently searching for.

You all know me I hardly EVER misplace anything.  In fact, I go insane trying to find things that are not where they are suppose to be.  For the last 2 hours I have been racking my brain on where the items listed above could be!  I, myself, DO NOT typically misplace things.  As for Alex???, well what would he do with the items in question?  That leaves one suspect....the usual suspect!  Now I've caught this little rat, a.k.a. "borrower" taking things and moving them around, things she shouldn't be touching at all.  She loves to go through the house and"re-place", or "borrow" items.  I am about at my wits end trying to find some of the more important items.  I have searched high and low and through out this house 20 times + today, as has Alex, with no luck in finding the car seat attachment.  So with no other options, we brought this suspect in for questioning.
Can I just say WOW this kid is one tough cookie.  She sat there in this chair and took all of the torture we put on her and didn't crack not one bit!  We didn't get even a single clue as to where she is taking these "borrowed" items and stashing them.

I just DON'T know what to do at this point, we even tried a little "good cop, bad cop"! ;)  Perhaps we will have to take one of her stuffed animal as a hostage and try to get her to talk then!

UGH.....either Alex and I suck at interrogations, or this criminal, they call Bugaboos, is a real tough nut to break!

Rodeo Getaway!

We just got back home and unpacked from a 2 day get away to Redding, California.  Alex competed in the rodeo, he broke the barrier so did no good, but on a good note we had a GREAT family get away!  Above is Bugaboos at the rodeo grounds!  This little one is such an explorer.  After the 4.5 hour drive down there when her feet hit the ground she never stopped running around.  Rewind....on the drive down, like 10-15 miles from our destination, Bugaboos threw up...no GUSHED UP PUKE....twice!  I am 110% sure Alex's driving made her carsick!  It was soooo lovely to be puked all over, to have her and her car seat covered in puke, and my car's back seat covered in puke!  It was so sad, but she was totally fine after we stopped and got her cleaned up and set loose at the rodeo grounds! =)
We spoiled ourselves with a nice motel stay, since let's face it, we don't have any upcoming plans of a real family vacation.  I was so excited to get Bugaboos in the pool!  This kid LOVES bath time so I couldn't wait to see how she liked the pool. (Thanks sis, I think Steph, for the hand me down swimming suit)
The water was a little on the chilly side, BUT this kid didn't care one bit!  She was in pure heaven!  She giggled, talked, and splashed lots!  She even got her face in the water a couple of times and it didn't freak her out at all!  I am soo sooo SOOOO glad that she is looking to be a water baby!  After taking the picture, I got in and Alex and I tossed her back and forth and played tag in the water with her!  She LOVED it!  It was one of the most fun things to watch her play in the pool! ( I have a little video of her in the pool, but I can never get them to work on this thing.  However, I'll give it a try in a different post)
Bugaboos watching the rodeo that night!  Every time they played music she got her groove on!  Funny enough the song that got her dancing the most was "Don't Ya Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me?"!  Hahaha
Before the rodeo, in the hospitality tent, Alex gave Bugs an orange!  I, after she had demolished it with her teeth, had to pry it out of her death grip!  I think we found her new favorite food for the time being!
She loved exploring the motel room too!  This turned out to be one of her favorite spots!  What a little dork!

It was such a wonderful and fun little getaway!  We even ended it on a good note....made it all the way home, even with a 2 hour or so detour to look at a truck, with out Bugs getting carsick again! =)

Mother's Day weekend!

Sophie Bugs had her friend Tucson over from early Friday morning until later Saturday evening.  I think she quite enjoyed the non stop play mate.   She will be so excited when we get down to Utah around all of her cousins.
For Mother's Day I requested that we plan absolutely nothing, and just go with the flow and so we did.  We started the day off with Alex and Bugaboos bringing me breakfast in bed.  Then just lounged around most of the morning, had some lunch, then went up to Shevlin Park for an afternoon walk.  It was so pretty and relaxing.
The Deshcutes River runs right by it, so we let Bugaboos play in the water with her feetsies.
She was in pure heaven!  We found another spot that was a little deeper and so she got to splash a little and we would swing her by her arms and let her kick at the water!  This kid was in heaven!
We finished off the evening by going back home and having burgers!  As you can see, Bugaboos was NOT the one cooking at the BBQ! =)  Isn't this picture just adorable!

Our visitors!

So Gramps, Granny Gaye, Uncle Rick, and Aunt Lucinda made the long trek up to Bend to visit me!  I feel so so blessed and just about come to tears thinking about how wonderful our family is.  Their plans had a chance of changing last minute and not coming to Bend, but Aunt Lucinda said Granny Gaye insisted on coming saying she'd even already called and told me they were coming to visit.

They got to my house at around 4 p.m., hung out for about 2 hours, then went off to find a motel room. Bugaboos and I (Alex had to go practice bulldogging) met up with them and went to Cascade Lakes Brewery for dinner!  Tomorrow they plan to pretty much wake up and hit the road again.  I'm not sure if they are heading back to Utah or somewhere else on the way home.  But, it really really warms my heart that I got to see them and got to show them MY HOME!  I can't even begin to say how much I love them and will cherish my few hours of them here where I live!
On a side note, Bugaboos had her normal meal of french fries.....Aunt Lucinda and I were laughing because she was reaching across the table to dip her french fry in the ketchup!!  She didn't dip like a normal kid....she actually would bite off and eat the part of the fry that had ketchup on it, not just lick the ketchup off.  I have never laughed so hard...of course I couldn't get a picture of her doing it!

They also brought Bugs some new toys...spoiled little rascal!

New car seat and a visit from Tiffany!

Bugaboos has finally up graded to her "big girl" car seat!  So cute!!
This kid LOVES LOVES LOVES mini m&ms!
The only pictures we snapped during Tifferdoodle's vacation up here.....yeah we were too busy eating the rest of the time!  Hahaha and this is right before we over indulged at Red Robin!
Me and my Bugaboos! =)
